Try resetting your XTree Disk Logging Method (Alt+F10, item 4 in v3.01) from Quick to Standard. That's usually the problem in Win98.

Don't know why the ZTree shortcut would effect the XTree program??

Better yet, Alan, make sure you get ZTreeWin from http://www.ztree.com for the XTree ease of use and power without the 16-bit memory and short filename limitations.

That's a good question, if the Standard Disk Logging Method doesn't fix it.
