I assume I used the prune-command several hundred times in the last decade. One time was too much. No chance to recover the deleted branch: honestly, it was terrible.
So I think it is indeed a v e r y g o o d idea to add an option (for those who want ...) that ensures to prune nothing else than what is intended. In my opinion, it should be fast, i.e., it shouldn't enforce to type in the whole path, and it shouldn't be case sensitive. Maybe only the first three letters of the root directory of the branch to be deleted.
