XTree Forum archive

Date format

I am the happy owner of XTREE GOLD for DOS v3.01. Having just
discovered xtfp.arkanda.net, I am even happier to learn from your
experiments that this beautiful program is probably sufficiently
Y2K-compliant for my needs. (My whole system tests out compliant after
using the freeware HOLMESFIX from
.)

I have a question for programmers more experienced than I am:

How can XTREE's date format be changed from DD-MM-YY to DD-MM-YYYY for
all uses and displays under XTREE? I suspect -- maybe wrongly -- that
the change required (in the *.exe file?) would be rather small, but I
don't know how and where to make it. If somebody can tell me, I am
willing to try; it would not be difficult under XTREE's VIEW and HEX
features.

Instructions or advice, anybody? (E-mail, please.)

Greetings! Rudi Borth
