You don't have to buy Win98 just yet! Try FileMaster, the freeware XTree clone for DOS that uses expanded memory and shows long file names! It's the closest thing to a 16-bit version of ZTree.

It's no longer supported and the configuration and text files are in German. But it does a good job of expanding some of the capabilities of XTree in DOS.

There are some installation issues, so read all of the "FileMaster Discussion Thread" link below before you start, and be patient. It could be just what you're looking for.
