There aren't any particular *XTree* printer drivers, every printer that works
under DOS also can be accessed by XTree, too.

However, I wonder why your HP DJ 710C refuses to work under DOS, since I myself
have a HP DJ 660C, and this one works pretty well, at least if it receives raw,
unformatted ASCII code from DOS programs like XTree.

I also have tested some other (older) HP DeskJets under DOS, and all of them
were printing, at least from the DOS command line, as well as from the
respective XTree commands.

Try the following:
Under DOS or in a DOS box under Windows, type:
ECHO anything>PRN

This should print "anything" on your printer. If it works, it should also print
from XTree. If not, well, things get more complex...
