Case Enhancement? Search and Replace Renaming?

Just today I had a user give me a web site that she developed on a PC and had to be uploaded to a Unix server. Well, like most PC or Mac-only users, she was unaware of the case-sensitivity issue on Unix machines. Many of her files had mixed case HREFs which I did global search and replaces on via a good text editor (a function I don't think Ztree needs - it's a file management tool, not a file manipulation tool).

Next, my task was to change all her mixed case filenames to lowercase, and change all her spaces to underscores.

I went into trusty Ztree, logged the directory structure, hit B for Branch and noticed all her images were "NAME.GIF" or ".JPG", etc. so I thought I'd try something:

I tagged them, hit [R]ename, entered "*.*" and F2 twice to "lower" and hit enter. Nothing happened of course. Wouldn't it be cool if this actually renamed all the files to the same letters but all lowercased? (if someone knows a way to do this that I'm unaware of, speak up) This could also be true for whatever we've set the "CASE" toggle to. What do you think?

Also, with all her filenames that had SPACES in them, I wanted a "search and replace all SPACES with UNDERSCORES" function. Is this possible currently? I don't think so. If not, it'd be nice to have some sort of "Enter character/s to be replaced:" and "Enter to character/s to replace it with:" feature with [R]ename.

PS - this note was the first time I ran into the Preview/Back Button disappearance phenomenon. I've seen this before in my web development, so I figured I'd try one of my tricks... did you know, that if you hit BACK one more time (which pops you back up to the top of the Xtree Forum) and then FORWARD, it's BACK! This is a freaky Netscape thingy... not a problem with Mathias' board. It happens on pages with Named Anchors - if you try to go BACK to an Anchor you've jumped to, all entries are gone... but if you just go BACK once more and the FORWARD again, all your info is there again.... at least it seems to always work for me. Just thought some of you would like to know that.
