This is an old XTGOLD request.

In Response To: Re: Shift-Letter Modification (Walter Rassbach)

I remember back in XtreeGold days, logging into their BBS and seeing this request asked for on their bulletin board! Unfortunately, we were already at version 3.01, so it was not to happen. But I'm glad to see it's back! :)

Well, this would be the *ideal* way, if it could happen. But if not, I guess we'll have to come up with an alternative. (hoping Kim will chime in here!)

But I do like this suggestion!

Walter, if you haven't yet, take a look at my message with "Bloatware" in the subject. Instead of trying to find keys for the proposed extension navigations, I think we should use the actual navigational keys (arrows, home, end, etc.) to do this. The more that I think about this idea, the better I like it. If people are used to using Windows at all, it's very natural (and even automatic) for them to think of using Ctrl-Left and Right Arrows, etc. for moving around text.

Let me know what you think.
