Keep the period representing a period...

I could not get really comfortable with the use of a period "." for this,
since Im working a lot with Unix (on my webserver) resp. Linux (on my PC)
systems now, and exchanging those files with the Win95 system, because
filenames with a leading period (".filename") are a standard for configuration
files in Unix and therefore its important to be able to rename/create those
kind of filenames even under ZTree/Win95 without any further quirks..
