In Response To: Directory-spec...? (Mathias Winkler)

Yep, I think that sounds about right. So along with that capability, it would be nice to have the ability to enter more than one DirSpec, like with FileSpec.

For example:

-_* -C:\NETSCAPE\USERS\DEFAULT\CACHE

which would exclude all directories that begin with an underscore, and the Netscape cache directory. This would be a really nice feature, since I'm constantly logging my entire drive and then always excluding my Netscape Cache, and all temp directories by hand - one by one (hitting minus for each dir I don't want to see). With a saved history of DirSpecs, if I could do this all in one command, as with this proposed DirSpec capbability, I'd be a very happy camper! :) I'm sure others would find it quite useful too...?
