XTree Forum archive

two ZTW wish items

two items I'd love to see in ZTW:

"partial untag"

I'd use it a lot; sure did in xtreegold. How about others?

"release files in DIR"

This would be a modification of "release files in branch".

Sometimes, in order to use the "global" command prior to a "compare" "matching paths across drives" in order to idnetify files to copy or delete as part of synchonizing hard disk and a zip drive, I need to log some subdirectories but not the directory above them. To do that it is necessary to log the directory, then release the files in the branch, then go log the subdirectories. I often forget to first release the files in the branch, go on to log subdirectories, then find it impossible to go back to the main directory and just release the files there -- in effect I have to start over and release the files in the whole branch then go log the directories I want to run the compare on.

Whew! What a long explanation! Anyway, I'd love to see an option under release to release only the files in the current dir (and leave logged the subdirectories under it that are logged).
