In Response To: WebDrive, the coolest Internet utility for ZTreeWin !!! (Mathias Winkler)

I completely agree. What a fantastic utility!

A couple of things on my wishlist:

Kim should have an option to check for an existing file in the destination directory BEFORE reading the entire remote file in first. :) When you're on a modem, and you've "copied" a 1 meg file to your hard drive, it only asks you at the very end of the transfer whether or not you want to replace your existing file... ugh. It also seems to copy over remote files without ever asking if you want to replace... I don't know if that's a function of WebDrive not notifying the system or not, but it would be nice to be warned. Maybe Kim could put a "check *memory* of logged files" and warn from there. I dunno.

Also, WebDrive should use FXP for transferring from remote site to remote site if available. That way if you're connected with a modem, but transferring from a remote high speed server to a remote high speed server, it would go as fast as the two remote servers' speeds. FXP by Stac, Inc. works this way. Very nice.

Otherwise, this util is fantastic!!! Thanks for informing us about it!
