XTree Forum archive

de-archiving arc files

I am a huge fan of xtree/xtreegold, but sadly stopped using it not too long after Windows surfaced. I have this legacy of xtree(DOS)-created "*.arc" files, some of which are very valuable (some serious data and analyses). To get at the files, I'd always figured that I would boot up some old DOS machine and try and get my xtree software to work, but I don't even have a working DOS machine anymore! How can I open up and extract the files from the arc files? Ideally, something simple and foolproof...The only thing that I've tried is double clicking on them with winzip...that doesn't work...
