XTree Forum archive

G'day, I have recently started using UnixTree, and I have to firstly say, wow, what a great program.
I have been having a bit of trouble redefining the ALT and CTRL keys to the actual ALT and CTRL keys on the keyboard. I have read the Tips and tricks page at unixtree.org and it refers to a utility called "dispkeys". But this looks like an "optional test" program and is not included in the linux rpm which I downloaded. Is there any way to download this program seperately.
Without giving up I further tried to test the key refinitions by creating a user.trm in /home/niel with contents:
Kctrl = o
(I was hoping that this will re-define 'o' to act like CTRL) but still didn't work. I figure that the XTPATH variable has to be set.
Question: how do I set the XTPATH variable? using set or setenv, (I'm using tcsh as my shell)
any comments are appreciated
Niel
