XTree Forum archive

This is great....

I am a long time Xtree user and gave it up very reluctantly in 95 when I switched over to Unix exclusively for my desktop. I had no idea that a Unix version existed. I am extatic that UnixTree exists and am throughtly enjoying it under both Solaris and Linux. What is the policy regarding ports? I have an Alpha running linux, a Sun running linux, a SGI Irix box, and a Mac running OSX that I would absolutely love to be able to run this on. It is amazing how inefficient everything feels on these unsupported boxes now that I know "Gee, I could be doing this in xtree". :)

I would be willing to provide a port to these platforms (and others) if allowed access to the source tree. I don't know if you are looking for contributors, but I am an able programmer and I would love to help.

BTW, Thanks. This is great.
