According to the XTreeLink manual, "Link Index" displays the total compression ratio.

For example, "1.0" means, that data is transfered without any compression,
"2.0" means that data is compressed by factor two, i.e. to the half of its original size,
"4.0" means compression by factor four, and so on.

But no idea, why in the world it's called "Link index" ....
