I can't speak for the board maintainer here, but I think he includes FileMaster as an important (and long overlooked) *DOS-mode* XTree clone to complete his list. Have you ever seen such an extensive resource on such a subject? It's awesome!

I've read where lots of XTree Fans *HAVE* petitioned Symantec to make XTreeGold available for free since they weren't selling it anymore. So far, they have not agreed, but it may not be too late to keep asking them at their website.

Have you tried ZTreeWin or ZTreeBold? For 32-bit Windows or OS/2, ZTree is *THE BEST* XTree clone around. And it's still in development and getting better!
