In Response To: Re: y2k bug in New Date, cannot set date back to 9 (Greg Akers)

Hi Greg:
Thanks for the help, I have changed the 4 Disk Loging to Standard from Quick, so hopefully that will clear up the Freeze problem when I exit.

Yes the Company I delt with in 1985 was Executive Systems, and I did read Mathias History on X-Tree.

You are also very correct about Kim. He responds to every e-mail "immediately".

As for the on going problem on my new machine (only) with the New Date option.
It appears that I cannot change "ANY" date anymore on X-Tree Gold 3.0, and make it "stick"

I tried to change a file dated 12/26/99 to 12/25/99, and it "took", but when I exited X-Tree and re-entered it was back to 12/26/99.

I tried to change a file dated 1/1/00 and took the default offered (for today) of 1/2/00, and again it took, but after exiting X-Tree gold, and then re-entering, the file was back to it's 1/1/00 date...

As stated previously since I can change the date with Z-Tree, so I'm not going to worry about it, and this all works fine on an older 486 computer where I need the Date changing feature, and Z-Tree cannot be installed...

All this is starting to tell me that I have some wierd things going on, on this newer computer. Another interesting thing I cannot do is if I try to send a fax from this computer from Excel, it doesent see the Win Fax Driver in the Printer selection Box, but I can fax from Microsoft Word or any other applications and they see all the printer drivers including Winfax...

I've re-installed both WinFax (9.0), and Excel and the WinFax Drivers , with all kinds of suggestions from Symantec etc. but nothing helps...
All this works on my other computers, so again I have to assume it's the computer...
