missing XTG so badly

Yes, here's one more XTG fan, now retired, after 30+ yrs into PC's.
One thing I remember quite happily: in the early 90's we were buying 486's from US and they came with a configuration of NT3.51 we couldn't use at all.
First thing we did was to install XTG, then ALT-L to log all of D:, then CTRL-T to tag all files, and then CTRL-D... and we just stared at the poor devil killing himself hopelessly. Cruel? No, that was the only way we could then reinstall our NT3.51 without reformatting the HD. And we used to do that with batches of up to 10 systems at a time.
Today, with WinXPpro.... what can you do? Just wait till your machine is done playing with himself, and hope... Plug And Pray, isn't it?
Ciao everybody
Mario
